Overview

The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) fosters excellence and innovation in teaching and learning and is dedicated to research informed guidance and support to lecturers and students in the contemporary higher education context.

With expert support and a hands-on approach, we invest in our lecturers to enhance their skills and support students on their path to academic success. We offer student support through reading development, supplemental instruction (SI), mentoring and tutoring programmes, and academic advising. We provide lecturers guidance in innovative teaching practices, learning design and development, using technology for teaching and learning and professional development. In collaboration with strategic partners, CTL inspires transformative quality teaching and learning experiences through our four value propositions.

Our value propositions

Professional development and recognition of academics as university teachers.

Enhanced student academic access, retention, attainment and success.

Innovative and professional teaching & learning designs.

Enabling teaching & learning environments.
