HIV and Aids services

We regard HIV/Aids as a serious issue and therefore we offer support services in conjunction with the campus  healthcare centres. Services may include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Counselling and support to infected and affected students
  • Addressing the stigma of HIV
  • Awareness and prevention campaigns
  • Promotion of voluntary testing for HIV
  • Promotion of dialogue on HIV-related matters

We also offer counselling and support relating to the following problems:

  • Gender-based violence (sexual assault and consent)
  • Substance abuse
  • Abuse (physical/emotional/sexual)
  • LGBTIAQ+
  • Pregnancies (e.g. unplanned pregnancy)
  • Death of family members (stages of grief)
  • Empowerment of women/men (“No more” and male violence)
