Celebrating Women's Contribution to Innovation
Each August, South Africa celebrates Women's Month and National Women's Day on 9 August as an opportunity to recognise and honour the achievements of women, celebrate their contribution to society, and reaffirm a collective commitment to advancing equality, leadership and opportunity.
In support of this national celebration, the Technology Transfer and Innovation Support (TTIS) department at North-West University (NWU) proudly presents the TTIS Women's Month Initiative. The Initiative celebrates the contribution of NWU women researchers whose innovation, creativity and research excellence continue to shape the future of the University, our communities and society.
Beyond August: Creating a Lasting Impact
While celebrating the achievements of women researchers remains central to the Initiative, TTIS seeks to create an enduring impact that extends well beyond Women's Month. Throughout August, participants will engage with TTIS through a series of interactive activities. These activities include:
- TTIS Celebrate Women Creating Impact
- TTIS Visits Women in Innovation
- Women In Innovation Webinar: Unlock The Value of Invention Disclosure
- Meet & Discuss Your Research @ The Impact Lounge
