AI Initiatives at the NWU

AI in Teaching and Learning
We have developed unique AI courses for students and lecturers to ensure that we implement AI in education in an ethical and responsible way.

AI in Research
We developed training material for postgraduate students to use AI in their research that is aligned with the best practices of AI in Research. We also made guidelines for responsible and ethical AI use available for researchers.

NWU AI Hub
AI affects everything and everyone, and the NWU AI Hub provides a central platform to coordinate all AI matters. Such coordination is crucial to prevent duplication, to provide direction, to facilitate discussions, to develop guidelines and policies, to investigate different AI Applications, and to integrate AI in an ethical and responsible way at the NWU.
