Leadership 

The Language Directorate is strategically positioned within the offices of: 

• Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Teaching and Learning which ensures that the LD remains integrated into the university’s core function
• Chief Director: Teaching and Learning to ensure alignment with faculty needs and CTL
• Director of the Language Directorate who provides strategic oversight of the Language Policy, the Language Implementation Plan and Multilingual Pedagogies
• Section Heads which are specialised units focusing on Interpreting and Translation
