Our mission is to optimize the effective utilization of spaces and facilities across multi-campus properties and estates.

About us

The department will achieve it’s mission by:

  • Maintaining space, property and infrastructure information for management and reporting purposes
  • Developing and maintaining a strategic spatial development plan of the University
  • Investigating emerging space requirements and making recommendations about how to address these needs
  • Coordinating a three year infrastructure development plan for the NWU
  • Implementing space management processes such as move planning, office allocations, reservations, space planning
  • Managing and administering utility accounts

Utility Accounts

Main functions

Management, payment and cost recovery of all utility accounts

Includes electrical and water usage, rates and tax, service such as sewerage, from local municipalities and other service providers such as Escom, the department of Water Affairs
