The North-West University Research Ethics has following mandates for 2023:
- Management of Research Ethics Approvals by providing administrative support to the Research Ethics Committees and serve as its Secretariat.
- Disseminate information and enhance capacity on the conduct of ethical research and ethics review by providing trainings/ workshops, materials and reviewing University policies and Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) pertaining to research ethics and institutional review and ensuring that they are consistent with national and international standards.
- Optimise the NWU Online Research Ethics Support system and digitise as well as automate the workflows needed for ethics clearance which will minimise the time to obtain ethics clearance
OPTIMIZATION OF THE NWU ONLINE RESEARCH ETHICS SUPPORT SYSTEM
