WAITRO Innovation Award 2021 - Food security & Sustainable Agriculture - Application deadline 30 September 2021

The WAITRO Innovation Award is a program that supports international research teams that jointly develop innovative solutions to tackle global challenges and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This year’s WAITRO Innovation Award focuses on the SDG 2-Zero Hunger and supports international project teams that contribute to food security and sustainable agriculture.

Section 12J Digital Technologies Fund

Kalon Venture Partners invests in- and builds a portfolio of high growth technology companies, with innovative business models, geared to existing and emerging institutions and their customers.

Kalon Venture Partners invests growth capital in the form of equity to be utilised to assist established, but still high-risk ventures in expanding activity such as creating additional traction in South Africa, launching into Africa and then foreign markets, as well as creating new product/technology lines.

DTI: SUPPORT PROGRAMME FOR INDUSTRIAL INNOVATION (SPII): THE PRODUCT PROCESS DEVELOPMENT SCHEME

Support Programme for Industrial Innovation (SPII): The Product Process Development Scheme

The Product Process Development scheme intends to promote technology development through the provision of financial assistance for the development of new products and/or processes.

To apply visit the dti website, and locate the financial assistance tab. All information including application forms and guidelines is provided for in each of the dti funding and/or incentives. Completed application forms with supporting documents must be submitted via e-mail to spiiapplications@thedti.gov.za

TIA Seed Fund

1. 2021/2022 TIA Seed Fund Call for Proposals - Closing date 30 September 2021

We invite all NWU Innovators and Researchers to submit applications for consideration for funding.
The following areas will be given priority: Biosimilars; Smart Agriculture; Industrial Biotech (Bioremediation, Biomaterials and Bio catalysis); and Indigenous Knowledge System related technologies (African Traditional Medicines, Cosmeceuticals, Nutraceuticals and Health infusions).
