If a credit balance arises on a university account, an online application may be submitted to request the payment of the credit amount via electronic bank transfer. The application is available to registered students on the Student Portal by navigating to My Finances > Credit Refund. No credit will be paid out in cash, and transfers cannot be made to credit card accounts.

A standard fee of R15 will be charged to the student account for each payout request. For enquiries, please submit a request through the Student Helpdesk in the menu of the Student Portal.
