Located on the iconic Fanie du Toit Sports Grounds, NWU Sports Village places guests within walking distance of cricket, rugby, athletics, netball, tennis and soccer facilities, all within a 100m radius. The renowned NWU High Performance Institute is also just a 3-minute walk from our front door, making Sports Village the ideal destination for athletes, teams, business travellers, families and visitors alike.

Since opening in April 2010, NWU Sports Village has proudly hosted world-class teams and sporting legends. We were the official base camp of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Champions, Spain, followed by the Pampas from Argentina, winners of the 2011 Vodacom Cup. Over the years, we have also welcomed the Protea Cricket Team, England international bowlers, England County Cricket teams, and numerous national and international training camps.

NWU Sports Village is also home to Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo and many elite athletes who train and prepare at the NWU High Performance Centre, further cementing our reputation as a destination for sporting excellence.

Today, NWU Sports Village continues to serve as a hub for sporting excellence, corporate conferences, functions, group stays and memorable experiences.
