Gauteng Provincial Development of Research Clusters: July 2025
VC and GDCS will be hosting a round table for researchers and aspiring youth researchers for gender focus areas which will include participants from Gauteng HEI’s (WITS, UJ, TUT, SEFAGHO, UP, and others). This will be an initial discussion before the preparation of the main research event to take place in 2026.

Gender Imbizo (11 to 13 Aug 2025) and Launch of the Student Safety & Healing Week: Aug 2025
VC and GDSCS together with Sonke Gender Justice and other stakeholders will be hosting this gender week that will host discussions on Gender toxicity vs positivity, learning and unlearning of GBVF, CONSENT, Gender Healing Exercises and many more.

Hosting of the International Higher Education Forum on GBVF LAUNCHING!! University Networks for Impact (UNI) at (Ireland, August 2025)
NWU, Rhode University and University College Dublin Alumni together with GDCS and Sonke Gender Justice launch an international project committee which will be used to address, collaborate, research and unite international HEI’s and their work on GBVF. This mammoth project is the University Networks for Impact (UNI).
Interested Stakeholders and students that will be willing to participate in an exchange program in 2026 to reach out to Mr Ujeet Maharaj.
