Facilities Maintenance and Related Service Request:
The Facilities Department is responsible for various maintenance and related facilities management services on all campuses of the NWU. Such services include the maintenance of infrastructural services, buildings, as well as electrical and mechanical equipment. In addition, the department's services also include pest control services, maintenance of landscaped areas, cartage services, and refuse removal.
Student Residences, Staff Housing or Business Enterprises
The Facilities Department does not provide operational facilities management services to buildings and estates allocated to the Department of Business Enterprise Development (BED). Kindly contact the local campus manager for Business Enterprise Development for further information
Information Technology and Electronic Services
Note: The Facilities Department does not provide operational services in respect of the maintenance of electronic equipment such as network systems, access control equipment, audio-visual equipment, alarm systems, etc. Kindly contact the local campus manager of the IT Department for further information.

Urgent and Routine Facilities Service Request
The Facilities Department will launch an integrated services request system by 2019. In the interim you are requested to use the systems historically deployed by campuses, or emailing your service request to the call centres:

Facilities Request for Emergency Services
Requests refer to repairs that are necessary either to eliminate a clear threat to life or safety or to prevent extensive building damage and to restore infrastructure services to a large part of a facility.
