Staff discount on class fees
Permanent members of staff of the North-West University as well as fixed-term appointments with full benefits are entitled to staff discount on class fees under the provisions as set out in the University’s Conditions of Service, clause 6.4.
Temporary staff and fixed-term appointments without benefits are, however, excluded. Registration fees and additional levies do not qualify for staff discount, nor can it be paid off in monthly instalments.
This discount will be valid unrepeatable per module for a maximum period of 7 years or until the qualifying child has reached the age of 27, whatever occurs first.
When a module is repeated, the student will personally be held responsible for payment of the module.
When the class fee period, in terms of clause 2.2.7 of the “Fees Payable & Financial Rules booklet”, is exceeded, the student will be held responsible for payment of the additional levy.
Staff discount is not automatically granted and members of staff need to apply for it ANNUALLY! The closing date for submissions of applications for staff discount:
• Undergraduate studies 15 January
• Post-graduate studies 31 March
