Request for Application: Eastern Cape Health Research and Innovation

The South African Medical Research Council under the Grants Innovation and Product Development Unit is seeking to fund projects that will focus on interventions for Maternal, Child and Women’s Health, Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD), Mental Health, Sexual Reproductive Health Violence against women and children. The impact of COVID-19 on the above would also be of interest. This could be through health systems research or digital based research.

Call of participation: BIO Africa Digital convention 2020

The third edition of the BIO Africa Convention will be held from 24 to 26 August 2020.

The convention provides a platform for panel discussions, partnering, virtual exhibitions, company presentations, showcasing African biotechnologies to the world and networking with stakeholders in the regional and global biotechnology environment in the health, agriculture, industrial and emerging bio-based sectors to the world.

The theme of the BIO Africa 2020 Digital Convention is “Discover, Develop & Disseminate” and TIA continues to be a partner to the Convention.

Startup Incubator - Green Energy - Call for Applications

The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) has launched a new initiative “Enterprise Development for Women-Owned Ventures in Green Energy”. Funded by the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF), the 12-month programme will support 70 women involved in renewable and green energy production in two African countries – MALAWI and NIGERIA.

SA Egypt Joint Call for Proposal in Applied Research & Innovation Projects in Disruptive Technologies

Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) together with Egypt’s Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) signed a collaboration agreement that is intended to further enable the promotion of targeted market-oriented research cooperation and technology innovation partnerships between the two countries.
TIA and ASRT hereby invite interested participants to submit applied research and innovation project proposals in the domain of “Disruptive Technologies” with a focus on real-world solutions in agriculture, water, renewable energy and health.
Due to practicality we will not be matching up researchers from the two countries, we can however assist researchers who are searching for partners.
The closing date for applications is 30 June 2020, at 16H30 (CAT).
