Step 5: Notice of Submission

When you have completed your research, you need to give a Notice of submission (NoS) at least three months before submitting the research report for examination. First, confirm that your examiners are available for examination and will be able to provide an examination report in the allocated time. Be aware of the closing dates for NoS.

Important notes about the NoS on DIY Services

  • Before you submit on DIY Services, make sure that that your browser pop-ups are turned off, and your ORCiD account is registered with the library.
  • Pop-ups are not system-related, it’s certain pages that are blocked on either Chrome or Firefox and prevent a user from opening for instance the login page.
  • Students who are not registrered, and have no title, ORCiD number and ethics number will not be able to submit their notice until it is brought up to date.
  • Ensure that your title, supervisor, ethics number and ORCID number are displayed on the Student 360 degree app (DIY Services system under research information).
