Pukki Talent Festival 2017: Visual Arts Category

Visual art entries for the Pukki Talent Festival closes on the 31st of March. NWU students and staff are welcome to take part. Don't miss out on this chance to be exhibited!

Rules and information:

  • This year’s theme is “Surreal/”. The theme can be interpreted and executed in any way. 
  • Any NWU-student or staff member may enter with one (1) or more art works. The art work(s) must have been made in the past twelve (12) months. 
  • Entry forms need to be handed in before or on 31 March 2017 at PUK Arts (Heimat Building, F9.) 
  • All art works need to be handed in at the NWU Botanical Garden Gallery on Tuesday, 2 May 2017, between 10:00 and 15:00. 
  • Each artwork must be accompanied by the following: 

                  1) A hard copy of the rationale for the work. 2) A digital copy of the rationale (on CD or USB stick) 

  • The NWU Gallery Selection Panel will do the selection on 4 May 2017. Unsuccessful participants will be contacted regarding the return of their works. 
  • Successful entries will be part of the “Surreal-exhibition” which will open on 8 May 2017 in the Botanical Garden Gallery. 
  • All information regarding the opening event will be communicated closer to the event. 
  • The winner of this year’s Art and Design Category will be announced at the Gala evening on 12 May 2017 – all finalists must be present. 
  • All art works must be collected on Monday, 15 May 2017, before 13h00 at the NWU Botanical Garden Gallery.
